As you are running your hands through your bouncy kinky locks, and your hand slides out the other end, you notice an excessively greasy and grainy build up on your hands.
Gross!
Well, this build up is caused by hair products, sweat, naturally occurring oils, and debris from the environment around you. All of these factors can cause weighed down, greasy curls that are impossible to style.
While shampoo sounds like an obvious solution, build up can be left behind even after a good shampoo. So, what are you supposed to do?
[Enter apple cider vinegar rinse stage left]
Apple cider vinegar is a great way to get a clean buildup free scalp. Apple cider vinegar cleans your scalp by restoring the pH balance. The pH balance of your scalp is typically around 4.5-5.5. When this is thrown off, your hair growth can be negatively effected.
So how do you go about making this rinse? It is super simple. All you will need is apple cider vinegar and water! Combine 1 part vinegar with 2 parts water and put the mix in a squeeze bottle. If you don’t have one on hand, simply use a baggie a snip the corner. Next, saturate your entire head of hair with the mixture and then rinse. You will just marvel at the amount of gunk you see streaming out of your hair. On the bright side, it’s out of your hair!
Enjoy!
