Shea Butter & Mango Butter Mix

I have tried many combinations for my shea butter mixture and it’s taken some time but I think I have finally found the perfect mix for my hair and possibly for your hair. After I tried my humectant mix and saw the amazing results on my wash and go, I became a humectant enthusiast. So I figured, why not add my beloved humectants into my bland shea butter mix?! Well its ahhhhhmazing; from texture to results.

What you will need:

  1. Shea butter- about 1/4 cups
  2. Mango butter- about ¼ cups
  3. Coconut oil- about 3 tablespoons
  4. Grapeseed oil- about 1 tablespoon
  5. Vegetable glycerin-about 1 tablespoon
  6. Honey- about 1 teaspoon
  7. Favorite essential oil (optional but it will
make your mix smell lovely)- a few drops

Boil a small pot of water. Once the water has come to a boil take it off of the heat and set aside. In the plastic container, throw in your shea butter and mango butter. Place and hold this mix in the hot water. Stir while the butters melt together. The mango butter will take a little longer to fully melt. Once the butters are combined, add each oil and the veggie glycerin in and stir. Next, add the teaspoon of honey. Take the mixture out of the water
and stir in the few drops of essential oils. Put the oils in the fridge overnight. The next day you will notice that the mix is solid but should also be creamy. You can store it along with the rest of your beauty products. It
will not melt but it will get softer and creamier. Enjoy!
